Screen (Linux command)#
Linux Screen allows you to:#
- Use multiple shell windows from a single SSH session.
- Keep a shell active even through network disruptions.
- Disconnect and reconnect to a shell sessions from multiple locations.
- Run a long running process without maintaining an active shell session.
To start screen type: screen
From within screen:#
^a-c | create a new screen |
^a-n | change to next screen |
^a-p | change to previous screen |
^a-d | detach from screen |
exit | end/exit screen |
Other screen commands:#
screen -r | re-attach to screen (if only one) |
screen -ls | display running screens |
screen -r XXXX | re-attach to screen XXXX |
Add new attachment
Only authorized users are allowed to upload new attachments.
